It’s possible to be around Christianity, and still not be able to explain it. We live in a time where “Christianity” is everywhere, but real understanding is rare.
Ask a simple question:
What is sin?
Who is God?
What is the gospel?
Why did Jesus Christ have to die?
All too often, the answers are confused or completely absent.
That’s not just unfortunate.
That’s dangerous.
A belief system that isn’t understood cannot be defended. We don’t have a youth problem. We have a discipleship problem.
That’s why catechisms existed.
A method of training believers, especially children and new converts, through:
- Clear, direct questions
- Simple, biblical answers
- Scripture to anchor every truth
Line upon line.
Precept upon precept.
Truth, repeated until it became conviction.
And it worked.
Children grew up knowing what they believed, and why.
New converts weren’t left to figure things out on their own.
Families had a structure for teaching truth in the home.
Churches produced believers who could stand, speak, and defend their faith.
So what happened?
We replaced it.
We assumed people would “pick it up” over time.
And now we’re seeing the results.
This is why I created: Add to Your Faith: The Bible Believer’s Catechism
This is not a product of Roman Catholic tradition.
This is a Baptist catechism built on one foundation, the word of God.
It is designed to be simple, clear, and repeatable.
This catechism is built to:
- Equip you to teach your children with clarity and confidence
- Establish new believers in sound doctrine from the start
- Strengthen your own understanding of Scripture
- Give you a practical, structured system for discipleship
Because here’s the reality: You don’t rise to the level of your intentions. You fall to the level of your training. If your children are not trained, someone else will train them. If new believers are not grounded, they will be carried away.
