People often misunderstand what I’m trying to accomplish. They assume that because I write about theology, politics, culture, and current events, my goal is to change the world.
It isn’t.
I’m trying to change your worldview.
The world has always been broken. Ever since Adam and Eve believed the serpent instead of their Creator, mankind has been living in rebellion against God. Every civilization has embraced lies. Every generation has celebrated ideas that ultimately led to its own decline. Nations do not suddenly wake up one morning and collapse. They first abandon truth. Long before a society falls economically, politically, or morally, it falls philosophically. Every cultural revolution begins as a revolution of ideas.
That is why I spend so much time discussing doctrine, politics, education, history, and the culture around us. I am far less interested in debating the latest headline than I am in exposing the worldview that produced it. Headlines are merely symptoms. Worldviews are the disease.
People often believe America’s greatest need is a better election. Elections matter, but elections cannot save a nation whose thinking has become corrupt. Politicians are simply a reflection of the people who elect them.1
The Bible has always taught this principle. The first temptation in human history was not physical. Satan did not begin by placing fruit into Eve’s hand. He first placed doubt into her mind. “Yea, hath God said?” Once her thinking changed, her actions followed. That strategy has never changed. Satan still attacks God’s word before he attacks God’s people. He convinces society to redefine marriage, redefine morality, redefine justice, redefine liberty, redefine gender, redefine truth, and redefine God Himself. Every one of those battles begins in the mind.
If I am asking you to examine your worldview, then it is only fair that I tell you mine.
I am first and foremost a Christian. I believe the God of the Bible created the heavens and the earth. I believe every human being is a sinner in need of redemption. I believe Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. I believe He is the only Saviour of mankind and that one day every person who has ever lived will stand before Him. Truth is determined by God because God cannot lie.
I am a King James Bible believer. I believe God has given His words by inspiration and preserved them in the Authorized King James Bible. This is the Bible upon which I build my faith, doctrine, preaching, and daily life. When this book speaks, God has spoken. It is my final authority. It does not need to be corrected by modern scholarship, revised by changing culture, or edited to satisfy modern sensibilities.
I am a dispensationalist. I believe the Bible must be rightly divided. God has progressively revealed His plan throughout history without ever changing His holy character. Understanding the distinctions between Israel and the Church, Law and Grace, prophecy and mystery is not merely an academic exercise, it is the key to understanding the Scriptures as God intended them.
I am a Baptist. I believe Christ established His churches, that every local church answers directly to Him, that every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ, and that Scripture, not councils, traditions, denominations, or personalities, is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Politically, I am a conservative libertarian. I believe government has a God-given role, but it also has God-given limits. Government exists to punish evildoers, protect innocent life, preserve justice, and secure liberty. It was never designed to become mankind’s provider, parent, preacher, or master. The larger government grows beyond its biblical purpose, the smaller the freedoms of the people become.
I am a nationalist. However, I am not a Christian nationalist. By that I simply mean I believe every nation has the right and responsibility to preserve its sovereignty, defend its borders, protect its citizens, and maintain the principles upon which it was founded. Patriotism is gratitude for the nation God has given you and a desire to see it governed by justice rather than chaos.
Due to these descriptors, I want to obey one simple command of Scripture: “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” I have no desire to bully anyone into agreement or violently force my convictions upon others. My weapon is not intimidation. It is truth. My goal is not to conquer people but to persuade them. I want people to examine the evidence, search the Scriptures, and honestly ask whether the worldview they have embraced can actually explain reality.
That is why I write.
Every article, every podcast, every sermon, every debate, and every conversation ultimately comes back to one question: What does the Scripture say?
When your worldview changes, everything else begins to change with it. You read the news differently. You raise your children differently. You spend your money differently. You vote differently. You evaluate entertainment differently. You understand suffering differently. You worship differently. You stop viewing life through the lens of temporary comfort and begin viewing it through the lens of eternity.
My goal is to help people think biblically.
You may disagree with my conclusions. But I hope you will at least understand the foundation from which I speak. I do not write to follow the latest trend. I write because I believe God’s truth is timeless, His word is sufficient, and His worldview is the only one that ultimately corresponds with reality.
So no, I’m not trying to change the world.
I’m trying to change your worldview.
