The System of False Peace Is Not Christ’s Kingdom, but the Antechamber of Antichrist
The greatest danger of the end times is not open tyranny, but a false spiritual order clothed in the language of peace and godliness. The Lord Jesus states plainly in Matthew 24:24: “there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders.” The final deception, therefore, will not be crude; it will be highly sophisticated in spiritual imitation. It will not appear as openly irreligious, but rather in a form that appears more religious, more moral, and more peaceful.
For this reason, any system that rejects Jesus Christ while exalting global peace, religious convergence, and universal moral order must never be naively regarded by the true church as preparation for the kingdom of heaven. True peace comes from Jesus Christ alone. As John 14:6 declares: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Isaiah 9:6 names Him “The Prince of Peace.” Apart from Jesus Christ, what the world calls peace is ultimately nothing but false peace.
This is exactly the gravity of 1 Thessalonians 5:3: “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them.” Paul does not say that judgment suddenly arrives when the world is crying out for war; he says destruction comes when they are saying, “Peace and safety.” This shows that the crisis of the end times lies not in the absence of peace slogans, but in the triumph of false peace slogans.
Thus, vast systems that claim peace, dialogue, religious reconciliation, and global order as their goal cannot be deemed godly merely because their rhetoric is gentle. On the contrary, the deception of the last days works through precisely this language of peace in order to lower human vigilance, so that while the world imagines itself approaching salvation, it is in fact moving toward sudden destruction. The Antichrist does not first win the nations through his ugliest form; he first gains legitimacy in the form most appealing to humanity’s civilizational ideals.
